This is the Privacy Policy of the Saucal.com website (the “Site”), operated by Saucal Inc. (together with our affiliates and subsidiaries, “Saucal”, “we”, “us”, “our” and terms of similar meaning) and our related products and services (our “Services”). It describes the personal information that we collect from individuals who are external to our organization, including but not limited to applicants, customers, potential customers, affiliates, website visitors, and service providers and each of their respective representatives (“you”, “your”, “yours” and terms of similar meaning), and how we use, disclose and secure this information. It also describes your choices regarding use, access and correction of your personal information. Capitalized words that we use but do not define in this Privacy Policy have the meanings given to them in the Saucal Terms of Service.

By accepting the Privacy Policy in registration or by visiting and using the Site or our Services, you expressly consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Service.

What Information Do We Collect?

Our primary purpose in collecting personal information from you is to provide you with a safe, smooth, efficient, and customized experience. This allows us to provide services and features that most likely meet your needs, and to customize our Services to make your experience safer and easier. We only collect personal information about you that we consider necessary for achieving this purpose.

In general, you can browse our Site without telling us who you are or revealing personal information about yourself. Once you become our customer or an affiliate under our affiliate referral program, we require you to provide various contact and identity information, payment information, and other personal information as indicated on the relevant forms on the Site or otherwise at the time of collection. We do not collect or save your credit card or other payment information, but we partner with third-party payment providers who use your credit card or payment information to process the payments you make or that we make to you.  Please consult their privacy policies for more information on how they use that information.

We also automatically track certain information about you based upon your behavior on our Site and store it through log files. We use this information to do internal research on our users’ demographics, interests, and behavior to better understand, protect and serve you and our community. This information may include the URL that you just came from, which URL you next go, your computer browser information, and your IP address. We may provide users’ IP addresses to payment partners in the course of the payment process.

We and our partners and other service providers use technologies such as cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, to collect certain information when you use the Site or our Services, some of which may be personal data. Cookies and similar technologies do not gather your unique personal data, like name, date of birth, gender, or email. We track referrals under our affiliate referral program through affiliate links that place a tracking cookie on the browser of a person who clicks the referral link that we provide to our affiliate referral partners. These cookies remain valid for a period of time and then expire. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual as well as aggregated basis. From time to time, we may collect personal information from third parties such as public websites, social networks, marketing partners, and recruiting databases. This information may include names, contact information, email, professional or employment information, and other information which is publicly available. We may use information collected from third parties for our own promotional or marketing purposes, such as sending prospective customers emails about our Services, or for recruiting and evaluating applicants.

If you are applying for a job with us, you provide any information included on your resume, CV, or application materials, such as contact information, date of birth, photo, education, employment, and work history, qualifications, skills, and professional licences. You also may provide other personal data during an in-person or video interview.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information in the file we maintain about you, and other information we obtain from your current and past activities on the Site, to provide to you the services offered by the Site; resolve service and payment disputes; troubleshoot problems; bill any amounts due from you; pay any amounts due to you; track referrals under our affiliate referral program; measure consumer interest in our products and services, inform you about online and offline offers, products, services, events and updates; deliver information to you that, in some cases, is relevant to your interests, such as product news; customize your experience; detect and protect us against error, fraud and other criminal activity; enforce our Terms of Service; provide you with system or administrative messages, and as otherwise described to you at the time of collection. We use the applicant data described above to recruit and evaluate applicants who may join our team.

We may also use personal information about you to improve our marketing and promotional efforts, to analyze Site and Services usage, to improve our content and product offerings, and to customize the Site’s content, layout, and services. These uses improve the Site and better tailor it to meet your needs, so as to provide you with a smooth, efficient, safe and customized experience while using the Site. If you wish to subscribe to our newsletters, we will use your name and email address to send the newsletter to you. Out of respect for your privacy, we provide you a way to unsubscribe in the email. Our Disclosure of Your Information

We will share or disclose your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy policy, including as follows:

Payment Information. Our payment partners use credit card and other personally identifiable information (such as PayPal email addresses) that you submit on the Site, and other information that we collect, as required, to process payments you make through the Site or that we make to you (including under our affiliate referral program). We do not receive or store credit card or other payment method information; our payment partners have the sole and complete responsibility for the use and storage of credit card and payment information. We may share personally identifiable information with our payment partners for risk management and fraud prevention.

Related third party products and services. From time to time, we may offer you opportunities to receive related products and services that integrate with, or complement, the Services we offer. We will only share your information with such third parties if you choose to request their products or services (or to be assessed for eligibility to receive such products or services). If you do choose to request such products or services, we will provide your information to the relevant third party on your behalf, as required to provide the products or services you have requested. We do not control the use, storage, retention, processing, or disclosure of your information by such third parties, and this Privacy Policy will not apply to them. Your relationship with these third parties will generally be subject to their separate terms and conditions as well as privacy policies or statements, and we recommend that you carefully review these documents before requesting their products or services.

Aggregated Data. We may aggregate information including (but not limited to) average payment size, payment method, and so on and disclose such information in a non-personally identifiable manner to third parties. However, in these situations, we do not disclose any information that could be used to identify you personally.

Forum. If you post on our forum or blog your username and other information you include is displayed in your postings or comments, and is therefore available to the public. All of your activities in the public areas of the forum will be identifiable to your User ID, and other people can see your published content. If you disclose personal information in any posting in our forum or blog and wish to have it removed, please contact us at the support contact information listed below, and posted on the Site.

Employment Information.  We may share your information with recruiting and talent acquisition partners to recruit and evaluate individuals who may join our team.

Subsidiaries and Affiliates; Service Providers. We may from time to time use the services of affiliates, subsidiaries and unrelated service providers in the operation of the Site and our Services, and may disclose personal information to them in the course of our use of their services. For example, we may use the services of third-party hosting companies to host the operation of the Site. This may involve the hosting of data, including personal information, on servers operated by those hosting companies. We also have an affiliate referral program and we may share with those affiliates information relevant to their participation in the program, including information about the revenue that we earn from the customers that they refer to us, when it was received, the amount received, and so on.  We take care to use only service providers that we believe are reputable, have equivalent or better security safeguards in place than us, and able to live up to our and your expectations, including about the handling of confidential information. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.

Legal Requests and Business Transitions; Emergencies. In certain situations, we may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. International Transfers

The personal data we collect from or about you may be transferred outside of your country to us or our third-party contractors or service providers (mentioned above) for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and when you provide us your personal data, you consent to any such transfers. 

Your Use of Other Persons’ Information

If you provide to us the personal information of any other person (including through your use of the affiliate links we provide to our affiliate partners under our affiliate referral program) you agree that you have all necessary consents and rights to collect, use and disclose that information as described in this Privacy Policy from time to time, and you agree to defend, indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim by any such person arising from our use of that personal information.

Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of the personal data that we collect from you. We restrict access to personal data collected about you to our employees, contractors, and certain third-party service providers as discussed above. Please note, however, that no website or storage mechanism, including the Services, can guarantee 100% security.

Other Information Collectors

Except as otherwise expressly included in this Privacy Policy, this document only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. To the extent that you disclose your information to other parties through the Site or our Services, different rules may apply to their use, collection and disclosure of the personal information you disclose to them. Since we do not control the information use, collection or disclosure policies of third parties, you are subject to their privacy policies. We encourage you to ask questions before you disclose your personal information to others.

Correcting and Updating Your Personal Information

Upon written request we will provide you with information about what personal information we have about you. To review, delete and update your personal information to ensure it is accurate, you may login into your account to make the changes, or you may contact us at hello@saucal.com. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe. We may ask you for further information from you to help us respond to your request, including asking for government-issued identification.

Data Retention

Generally, we store your personal data for as long as required to provide the Services to you, and when you cancel your account, we take reasonable steps to delete your personal data within a reasonable period of time. Sometimes, we may retain your information for a period of time after account cancellation to allow you to efficiently reinstate your Services account, if you so choose. We also may retain certain personal data after you cancel your account to the extent necessary to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, for the purpose of fraud monitoring, detection and prevention, and for our tax, accounting, and financial reporting obligations. Where we retain data, we do so in accordance with any limitation periods and records retention obligations that are imposed by applicable law.

Additional Policy Information

If you click on a link to a third-party site, you will leave the Site and go to the site you selected. If you elect to use a third-party product or service in conjunction with the Site, you yourself enter into a license agreement with the third party for use of their product or service and their use of your data. Because we cannot control the activities of third parties, we cannot accept responsibility for any use of your personal information by such third parties, and we cannot guarantee that they will adhere to the same privacy practices as we do. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any other service provider from whom you request services. If you visit a third party website that is linked to a Site, you should read that site’s privacy policy before providing any personal information.

Our Site includes Social Media Features, such as the Facebook and Twitter buttons and Widgets, such as the Share this button or interactive mini-programs that run on our Site. These Features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our Site, and may set a cookie to enable the Feature to function properly. Social Media Features and Widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Site. Your interactions with these Features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.
